Ramsau has about 40 km of ski slopes for alpine skiing. There are several ski lifts with sunny ski runs, which are ideal for beginners. For the advanced skiers, the Rittisberg is a good choice. A four-man chair lift and a t-bar lift let you have some great skiing on the “main skiing hill of Ramsau”: five runs, which are for all levels of skiing. The pistes are well groomed, quiet with mostly locals, with rarely any lift queues. On top of the Rittisberg and down at the lifts, there are good restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch, homemade cakes and warm or refreshing drinks. On top of the hill you just have to have a look around and enjoy the great panorama!
Skiing at an altitude of 2,700 m! Some great ski-runs for easy-going skiing, but also some demanding powder slopes.
Ramsau am Dachstein is an ideal starting point to get to the entire ski amade area with its 760 km of ski runs, and in particular to the 4 interlinked ski resorts: Hauser Kaibling – Planai – Hochwurzen – Reiteralm.
The Planai gondola lift base station in Schladming is only 3 km away, from there you can ski the 4 resorts without taking car or bus. More than 160 km off well prepared ski runs.
Ski schools in Ramsau am Dachsten – all of them with children and beginner programmes:
