Ramsau am Dachstein offers a 220-kmnetwork of cross country tracks and skating trails at three levels of altitude (1,100 -2,700 m).
Starting point of the tracks is the cross country stadium in Ramsau Ort. There are 12 routes with a total of 150 km for classic cross country skiing. There are easy, intermediate and difficult ski runs, of which 50 km each. The longest route is the ‘Rittis’ ski trail, with 21 km, the sunniest one is the ‘Sonnenloipe’ with 6 km. Beginners will appreciate the ‘Standardloipe’ with 18 km.
The sport trails for skating 70 km long, also with their starting point at the cross country stadium. The ski runs that also featured during the 1999 Nordic World Ski Championships, have been slightly modified since then and are now accessible for everyone. All of these sport trails with 1,5 km, 2 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 7 km follow the one-way system. The further skating trails, 10 km ‘Schildlehen’ and 30 km ‘Dachstein’, can partly be skied in both directions.
